MSPFA recs!
this is where i will catalog my favorite MSPFAs and tell you why you should read them!
AUTOPRAXIS

"Six young friends struggle to coordinate a game session while navigating the complexities of adult life."
Autopraxis is a comic i've loved since the beginning. The comic is full of hilarious moments and great artwork, and it's only going to get better. The comic also has a wonderful community that's one of my favorites to hang out in. I've met so many wonderful friends via this comic. It (among other things) also inspired me to start making my own art!! It's an incredible comic that anyone who liked Homestuck should read- Especially if you're transfem.
sburb.exe

"A cautionary tale for those who pick up their video games at garage sales."
The second of probably several sburb comics on this list. sburb.exe is one of the most fun comics on the site right now- And, if I'm not mistaken, it's currently the most favorited ongoing comic (barring stuff like vast error which is technically inactive and has moved to its own site). The cast of characters is incredibly fun to watch, and the author, Veri, absolutely NAILS the feel of early-act homestuck while also putting his own unique and fun spin on things. Highly recommend!!
Bilious
"Six friends play a game while trying to survive in a crumbling society."
The comic that got me into the MSPFA community (at least the small fun sections of it that I'm in). I got hooked on this comic the moment I started reading it- Especially in regards to the worldbuilding. No spoilers, but it's got one of the most unique and fun worlds I've ever seen in a sburb(ish) comic! And, as with the other comics on this list, it's got very fun characters too. I love Cleo . Highly recommend, especially if you like interesting settings and/or the Midnight Crew.
Burning Down the House (and Eternal September)

"Another ending to Homestuck."
I first read BDTH a few years ago when I was first getting into Homestuck. It left a big impression on me, and I wouldn't hesitate to call it one of the best post-game fanworks ever made. Victoria is an absolute master, from the very well written narration and dialogue to the absolutely impeccable art and amazing flash animations (and walkarounds!!). The comic presents very unique and interesting takes on many of the characters, several of which have definitely influenced the way I think about said characters, Jane being the obvious mention. The one of the side comics on the website, Eternal September, is also very good. Rather than being set after Homestuck, it's set decently before, revolving around a woman developing sburb itself. I love looking at sburb from an actual game point of view, so I absolutely love what this comic does!! I'd say more, but I can't remember it super well. I'll need to refresh myself. Either way, I highly recommend both!
The Tapestry

"A sci-fi adventure following some alien kids on an alien world, as they begin to play a mysterious game."
Some of the most stunning art and worldbuilding I've ever seen in an MSPFA. Like Bilious, it's a pseudo-sburblike, meaning they play a game like sburb, only different for various reasons. The Setyrs are an incredible fanspecies with SO much history and lore. They look like nothing else in the fanspecies sphere! Truly great stuff. And did I mention how fucking incredible the art is? It's seriously insane. HIIIGHLY recommend checking it out, even if it updates pretty slowly.
